The nerve of some people!
The nerve of some people! I'm on youtube and currently having an argument with some ass that thinks that otakus are social shut ins that wear greasy glasses and sweaty head bands! All because i posted a positive comment on a video! I HATE this guy beacause he goes around assuming that I've only seen two animes in my entire life, thinks that all otakus are shunned and hated by the "outside world", as he called it, that we, "cannot distinguish real life and anime", and that we are all being hated by the Japanese because we, "Use broken Japanese and slang that we learn for anime"! I personally will NOT stand for this complete imbecile's words against otakus! And did I mention that he thinks we're all weeaboos because we like anime? He also refers to otakus as an offensive term, and that we should be ashamed of the meaning! I want to hit this guy so hard that when he wakes up his clothes will be out of style!!!

good point. but if this guy keeps saying stuff, I can't really help myself if it's directed at me. I hate prejudice against anything and i counter it, no matter how immature it might seem.

The worse thing you can do is argue about it. People that lash out online are often portrayed as immature, there no need to even pay attention to what this guy is saying. And sadly yes, some otaku are like that, but none that are actually willing to go out in the world and show how well adjusted and creative we really are.

I run into people like that my entire life. some people do not like seeing other people have something that bring enjoyment into their lives. They are just jealous that they do not have the same interests as us and that unlike him in my belief all otaku are connected. just remember: we as otaku are connected by passion for what we love and should never let anyone let us down. OTAKU UNITED!!!!
