About Me

Of course, I love manga and anime! I have many many many favorites, some of my favorite mangas being the ones listed above. Also some of my favorite anime is Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon, Rozen Maiden, Ouran High School Host Club, and tons of others. Along with these otaku interests, I also love Japanese music, video games (Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Shadow Hearts, etc, etc), general art, ceremonies, attire, culture, and many other aspects of Japan. I'm also attempting to learn the Japanese language on my own, or at least until I am able to take classes. I WILL BE A FAMOUS MANGA-KA ONE DAY AND I AM AMERICA'S BIGGEST OTAKU!! (definately in spirit! I know you see that I have what it takes!) I'm also FULL of energy and proud to be who I am, whether I fit in or not.

My aspirations: Like other major otakus, I dream of becoming a manga-ka one day. I'm definately sticking with this dream, because when I think to my future and I haven't achieved this, well, I honestly don't know what I'd do with myself! Anime, manga, Japanese culture.......they're all such a big part of my life.......My own manga has been underway for about two years now. I released just a few pages as a preview on here. Be sure to check out Scattered Memories! ^_^(it's just a rough draft though, so the drawings are super basic...)

Why a trip to Japan would be so meaningful to me? I would get the chance to interact with other people who have the same interests as me. There are a few fellow otaku here in my small town, but they're few and far in between. To be able to go to a con, or anything like that...........and make friends with other wonderful "Japan-obsessed" people......I can't describe how great of an experience that would be for me. Unlike most of the people applying, I don't live near the conventions or anything like that. There is one in Arkansas but I'm far in the the southeast of the state, so it's still like 6 hours away and I can't drive......And I really feel like I will learn so much and find even more inspiration to fuel my manga and artwork! More than anything, I just want the chance to set foot under the cherry blossoms and into the Tokyo crowds and just breathe it all in! Thank you so much, Tokyopop for giving me the opportunity to try out for this competition! [._.]<--Yoko:I wanna go to Japan too!

I've never had a problem with it, but I do have ONE friend out of all of mine who have dAs (Which is A LOT) whose computer got fried by it... but I wouldn't be cautious wit it unless you have a problem with it... generally if one pops up, the devteam removes it pretty quickly. Mine is kosmiccheshire

Oh! lol I remember Hamtaro XD I actually named my hamster Beiju after the girl hamster that Hamtaro liked. xD

...only a year or two ago? X.x....I've been following his works for sooooo loonggg....DX ONLY THOSE TWO?! You HAVE to watch more! His works are AMAZING! I've watched almost all of them! (I want to go to the museum so that I can watch the rest!) Spirited away, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Ponyo.... and a lot more are all his works! I love them~

I'm not exactly sure what channels I watched them on...but I Got addicted to My Neighbor Totoro when I was really really young (like younger than eight) and became a fan of Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki's works...

I had read comics like Archie, Spiderman and the like, but I never felt drawn to their styles like I did with manga ( Read my first in 7th grade...so I was late xD) and the plots that were used for them. I really look forward to a career as a Manga-ka although I still have to wait a few years. :3

I've wanted to publish manga for a long while now and it's not going to change any time soon because I love it so much. :3
